This is the second part of the special issue focusing on design research edited by Caroline Hummels from Eindhoven, the Netherlands and Johan Redström from Gothenburg, Sweden. While the previous issue, 20:1, was based on what has been happening at the more technically advanced end of design in which prototypes and technical demonstrations play a key role in the development of an argument, this issue builds on two other strands of design research.
