Society and the market

Martin Albrow

pp. 247-269

Abstract

Weber's account of understanding and his empirical analysis of values require us to ground each in processes happening between people in definite relationships with one another. Both understanding and values are generated in the course of social life and are themselves only to be understood through that reference.
