Exploring how the world works
pp. 139-151
Abstract
Gautama would have considered that his life's work had amounted to nought if his teachings did not empower people to live with better awareness and acting more skilfully and kindly in the world. His meditations and discourses were for this purpose. As such, exploring the benefits of kindness through cultivating mindful attention is a long-standing practice in Buddhist traditions.
