Good samaritans and Castañeda's system of deontic logic

pp. 255-272

Abstract

The present paper continues my examination of Hector-Neri Castañeda"s unusual, intriguing, but oft neglected system of deontic logic. In [30] I examined Castañeda"s system against the Contrary-to-Duty Imperative Paradox. Here my plan is to focus on how his system fares against a strengthened version of the Good Samaritan Paradox: the Paradox of the Knower.
