Homiletics

Phil Snider

pp. 607-619

Abstract

Radical expressions of homiletics, like radical theology, are multifaceted and plural. Influences include, but are not limited to, constructive theology, death of God theology, liberation theology, and contemporary continental philosophy of religion. Friedrich Nietzsche, Paul Tillich, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer remain prominent. This chapter focuses on death of God theology, postmodernism, deconstruction, and theopoetics as resources for radical homiletical methods.
