The contribution of aesthetic experience in transformative learning and bildung

Abstract

My purpose in writing this paper is to identify the convergence between transformative learning theory and theories of Bildung, while exploring the way in which aesthetic experience—a notion understood as critical observation of works of art—may contribute to educational processes that are unfolded within these two theoretical frameworks.
