Abstract

The purpose of this text is to show how the principal characteristics of the French Regulation school developed. By Regulation school, we mean the bulk of work published under the direction of R. Boyer and Y. Saillard (1995), the problematic and methods of which are defined in the work of R. Boyer (1987). These studies are often termed "Paris Regulation school".
