Abstract

In this article, we have tried to pose the problem of "mental existence" in its historical development in Islamic philosophy and the rational proofs adduced by Muslim philosophers to demonstrate both its reality and the epistemological presuppositions relating to it. Then we have made a brief comparative study of this issue between Islamic philosophy and the contemporary phenomenological movement.
