Mihai Ometiță is Associate Lecturer at the University of Bucharest and Affiliate Researcher at ICUB-Humanities (Romania). He was a Project Director at the latter institution and a Postdoctoral Fellow at New Europe College – Institute for Advanced Study. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom) and a Research Master at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). His work includes the co-edited volume Wittgenstein and Phenomenology (Routledge 2018) and the German-Romanian translation of Wittgenstein’s phenomenological manuscripts in a forthcoming critical edition entitled Phenomenological Variations: Vision, Memory, Pain. Two of his recent projects—Modalities of Intentional Action (ModalAct) and Faces of Cinematographic Modernism (CineMode)—explore cinematic experience and film aesthetics through the lens of philosophy across the analytic–continental divide.
